My Deathmatch levels!

As of 1/20/00, 35138 happy people have grabbed these levels from Dukeworld!!!! Unfortunately, Dukeworld is now offline forever, so this may be the only place to get some killer deathmatch levels for Duke.

These maps are not packed with errors and glitches!!
If you happen to find a bug that diminishes gameplay, please let me know. I only want to make maps that are fun to play, and bug free as possible.

Here are my SEVEN current levels.
Wm1 and Wm2, and a textfile description, are in the first Zipfile.
Wm3 and Wm4, and a textfile description, are in the second Zipfile.
Wm5 and Wm6, and a textfile description, are in the third Zipfile.
Wm7 and a textfile description, are in the fourth Zipfile.

Wm1.map-(Spacematch)

This map has provided tons of fun play with my friends. Plenty of health, but smaller weapons make this one a tough match. Teleports, secret rooms, a sniper tower, and a few places to hide keep your opponent busy looking for you.

Wm2.map-(Dark Hunt)

A little more complex than Wm1.map, this level has cameras, sniper walls (See-thru on one side), secret rooms, and larger weapons. Plenty of teleports help you escape your doom, but don't hang around in front of them too long! You can fire the RPG into the teleports and do some 'Teleport kills'. All teleports have been aimed for maximum effect when teleporting RPG rounds.

Wm3.map-(Command Center)

This level has taken awhile to playtest due to the little extra things that needed tweaked. Teleports, cameras, a crane, 1 time duke jibs upon entering certain sectors, an elevator, and LOADS of little places to hide make this a fun match. Several different types of doors (each with a special sound to help locate prey) and ambient sounds also help you, or keep you from hearing your opponent.

Wm4.map-(Death Zone)

This level started out as a practice level for me (I called it Suicide then). I filled the room in the center with about 50 or so different monsters, then started in the middle! It was good practice. As soon as I figured how to rotate a copied sector, I decided this would be a cool deathmatch level! I have added a few secret places, but for the most part, this level comes packed with weapons and health and is a giant box! Nothing fancy, just plain kill ground.

Wm5.map-(Space Station Gamma)

I thought it would take forever to finish this level. I tried to be as picky as possible on textures lining up and adding plenty of things to look at. I think I have come up with one of the best looking aquariums I've seen. (And even if the glass accidentally breaks, the double forcefield has no problem with containing the water!) Plenty of underwater, and underslime action. Forcefields, flashing sectors, light switches (to hide in the dark), hidden items, and a large relaxation chamber complete with aquarium.

Wm6.map-(Ring of Death)

Well, after stressing out on all the textures and sprites in WM5.MAP, I decided to make another simple and fun map! No secrets, just one big set of circles. There are 2 spy windows that allow you to peek through to see if your opponent is near, but don't stand too close! The forcefield will block alot of the blow, but larger weapons like the RPG will still tear you up if you're too close. This level will make you work for the kills!
Fun and FAST!

Wm7.map-(The Fortress)

If you start in the fortress, your role is the KING. Always fight to keep the fortress in your power, and your enemy out.
If you start in the caves, your role is the HERO. Grab all the weapons, and take the fortress!
The story:(Hero's point of view)
You remember playing fort long ago with a boy, who is now the king. He always had the best fort, and always won. Jump 20 years and now he's the worst king ever. Rumor has it that he has harnessed time to bring back items to ensure his success. You and a few close friends have found out that the king will be alone in his secret fortress soon. The fortress was dug out of solid rock, taking almost 20 years to complete. It wasn't made for looks, but to store some of the king's evil new weapons. You have secretly raided the fortress and stolen some of the weapons, planning to use them against the king. The king has also brought back strange garments to wear. You have hired tailors to match these garments as closely as possible, hopefully to cause confusion to anyone who may try to intervene... You find yourself falling down a hole that leads to some tunnels that took months to dig. As you look up the hole, your friends drop down the stolen weapons. Keep checking back to see if your friends have dropped down any more goodies.

Enjoy!

Listen to Duke!

Here's a cool little program I found on the net!
It's called Smap
You can use this program if you are dialing a friend's house to play Duke3d. It allows you to play up to 25 user maps without having to hang up and call again between each map!
This is the SHAREWARE version, and it will only let you pick from 25 maps as well, so if you have 50 maps in your Duke3d directory it will only show 25 of them.
